I am an enthusiastic web developer who would love to help build or improve your website. My background as a small-business owner for 5 years provides me with a unique skill-set covering everything from online marketing and UI/UX design to customer service and human resources. When I’m not obsessing over a project, I am painting, reading, or enjoying a good, old-fashioned walk. I look forward to helping your company provide your users with a simple, exceptional experience.
I converted XD designs into a functioning website for this biosystems company, including video backgrounds on the homepage, entrance animations, and other custom CSS work. I also did quite a bit of back-end work troubleshooting DNS records to point their domain from their old site to the new site.
The Millionaire Next Door
I was tasked with modernizing and speeding up this WordPress site for the bestselling book The Millionaire Next Door and their other publications. I built a staging site and then migrated it over to the live site once everything was completed.
Kid Cards Club
I was brought on to create a WordPress site for this card collecting membership startup. I started with some pictures and a general idea of the pages we’d need, and I built it from there. I used MemberPress to create three plan tiers.
WordPress • MemberPress • Elementor • GoDaddy/CPanel • HTML • CSS
“David was amazing to work with! I am so pleased how my site turned out. He built it not only for desktop but also to be responsive for mobile version. He was very responsive, providing consultation and insight along the way. “
Lighthouse Homeschool Solutions
This homeschooling curriculum site brought me on to revamp the Curriculum page and make ongoing enhancements to the site as they launch their online courses.
David was very helpful with our project. He was always professional, knowledgeable, and handled everything. He researched when needed, was easy to communicate with, always quick to respond, and produced great results for our business. We would recommend him highly.”
I built this film podcast website from scratch with no provided design. I used Advanced Custom Fields to add custom fields such as movie ratings, combined ratings, and episode embeds. I also created archives with custom sorting and custom shortcodes.
This client had an old Wix site that just didn’t have the flexibility that she wanted, so I converted the site to WordPress, added features such as a booking calendar and a WooCommerce shop, and made further optimizations to the site.
I built this auto repair shop WordPress site from very specific XD designs. The slideshow and overlapping diagonal boxes on several pages were a challenge to make responsive, but I got as close as I could to the original designs.
This waterproofing chemical company needed to restructure their WordPress site from several separate subdomains to one unified site, so I was tasked with rebuilding the pages and sub-pages with Elementor, linking the new structure together, then optimizing for speed.
This restaurant management company needed to integrate their JazzHR job postings into the Careers page of their site so that applicants could apply straight through their site. I configured a solution that worked with the JazzHR API.
WordPress • Elementor • JazzHR
“David was wonderful to work with. He was easy to communicate with, very responsive and completed our project under budget and also exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for someone honest, talented and easy to work with, David is your person.”
